“it is ebbing”, you said,
and all the smithereens of yesterday’s cliches
were immediately whisked away by the water.

the sun arose over the ruins of last night.

again,

as it always does, so routinely enliven.

there was morning of the new day,
but it felt like we lived it already out,
before.
