a subtle dichotomy

she fixed my tie.

now, the stippled line of buttons on my shirt
was ideally covered.

“a kiss on my left cheek, – and here comes on my right.”

the perception of harmony was enveloping me,
it was overwhelming my senses.

an euphoria!

then I stepped out to the street
and suddenly felt utterly uneven.

(because of the heart)
