a slow day

a slow day
dribbles along
a bubble gum
stuck on the sole
sticky skin
sticking dust
from the honking trucks
angry cabs
& tired buses
empty stomach
mouth dry
& I cry
cry for broken walls
burning House
crumbling hopes
foreign lands
mourning shades
open graves
bitter tears
on the soil
under the sole
of a slow day
